Numerous scholarly investigations have delved into diverse facets of self-initiated expatriates (SIEs), encompassing their motivations, psychological well-being, and job associations. Research has indicated that Socially Isolated Individuals (SIEs) exhibit distinct groupings characterized by their underlying motivations, which can be influenced by the Basic Psychological Needs (BPNs) outlined in the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) (Selmeret al., 2022).
